Opinions on UTI?...

I figured they didnt really test you and it was just "random". I could quit very easily as I have many times just to help get my grades up and stuff. How hard is it to get into the MSAT programs if you really try? Are most of the kids all screwing off or do they take it seriously?

I'm enrolling in a ASEP program at Bay City, MI. Delta College is the name. It will cost about 20k to go for 2 years. Including tools. To become a automobile tech.

I will also be sponsered be GM and the dealership I work at. I get a 40-60% discount on Snap-on tools due to school. Werd. I go to school for 4-6weeks get tested then graded. Then, I work at the dealership for another 6weeks and get graded and paid at the dealership. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Then when I graduate I work at the dealership and sign up to get my ASE certs. So pretty much I'm guaranteed a nice paying job soon as I graduate. Then, I'll move on to open my own auto shop up with pops.

Does the basic engine rebuild and repair class that is part of the automotive course teach you everything you need to know about the engine?

I am just wondering because I do not know if I want to take the nascar engine class if i dont haeve to...

Please let me know what is involved with that

Does anyone know all the exact things you can go there to learn for Nascar?

Taken from the UTI website:

NASCAR Technical Institute is located in Mooresville, North Carolina -- at the heart of racing country. The school provides course work in engine construction, electrical, fuel and lubrication systems, drive trains, body and chassis fabrication and racing theory principles. Students will learn the history and rules and regulations of NASCAR, as well as the teamwork needed in today's automotive and racing industries.

home studies FTW...na jk i heard wyotech was better though, had a dude come into the school n talk bout wyotech, he said it was better then uti, wyotech>uti imo
hahah to bad only 5-10students from wyotech get into msats every year whereas UTI places about 300+ also UTI has better post-grad job placement

also last i checked wyotechs tution was twice that of UTI

i think wyotech gives you "degrees" instead of "certificates" and its cheaper...
u get a diploma from both schools, the certificates are completely seperate from the school as they are an industry creditionals saying waht u know how to work on and what you dont know how to work on
