Opinions on this setup?

No, it's an SSHL team. I only started on the ice a year ago. Been doing roller for 15 and transitioned over. I'm sure you can imagine great shot, shitty skating speed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But I also sub goalie, so I keep it interesting.
haha fun fun

found it myself. .75 per driver before displacement. The ID Q, SSA Dcon, Arc Audio Arc10, Alpine Type R or DC Level 2 would do nicely. The IA Lethal Injection might not be a bad choice either.
Yup good list.

Dcon gets my vote for good sound for cheap and only needing 300rms ea

What about these? About the same, but a little more power. Seems like it would go good with those MBQ amps:Alpine SWR-1043D Type-R 10" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils at Crutchfield Signature
The newer Type R's need a little bit bigger sealed enclosure, but it should be fine. We're talking .10 cubes difference here. Some polyfill should take care of something that small.

If you're concerned about your electrical system you'd be better off with something a little more modest. The Dcon or DC level 2 will only need 600-ish watts. If you're stuck on Polk, the PA600.1 would fit the bill. Polk Audio PA600.1 1200W Max, Class D Monoblock Amplifier

There are a ton of different options here, man...

I like this. Headroom would be nice. Something anywhere from 600-800rms would suit them very well.

Right, I know there's a bunch just getting ideas. Now I at least have a better idea on matching up the subs to the amp. It's been almost 10 years since I've done car audio so I'm still remembering little things here and there that are all helping the rest of it make sense.

You know, you could always have that enclosure modified for a single ported 10" or a pair of ported 8's. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

A new front baffle, a couple wooden dowels and a pair of aero ports would do the trick.

You think getting a single 10 would work better? Just one more powerful?

Depends, man. You're obviously just looking for options. If you have the enclosure modified for a ported 10", you'd have 1.5-ish cubes to work with before displacement. You could squeeze a DC Level 4 into that. It'd be impressive in a 350z, but it might bring electrical upgrades into the equation.

2 SA-8's @ 35hz lulz!
Output wise 2 10's sealed would be similar to 1 10 ported if power is the same. And though it is possible' date=' and sounds pretty fun...fabbing that box would take some tools and work.[/quote']

Definitely. He could probably find someone local to do the work. It shouldn't take much effort for an experienced builder.

DC Level 4 12" could even work in 1.5.

But at this point, I personally would probably take 2 sealed's over 1 ported just for the ease of it.
