Opinions on this setup?

I'll prob stick to the 2 10's and use the money I would pay for the fab work towards the subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

DC and SSA (along with Sundown, Fi, AQ, Incriminator Audio, and others) are considered internet brands. Not very mainstream. But pretty high quality. People here will attest to this. For example, I run an AQ1200d to a DC Level 4 12" in my vehicle. Amp stays cool and does its job well. The Level 4 is a wonderul SQL woofer. A local shop wanted a demo and said they'd take it over a W7 (JL, Hertz/Audison dealer). Which is about twice the price.

These subs are all handmade and usually easily recone-able.

They get you a great product more designed towards what you want, at a lesser price.

Also, PSI can build you a sub from scratch to accomplish about anything you want.

-Fi SSD is 800rms each. Would stretch his power limits and make the charging system crucial. So I disagree.

-Audiopulse is expensive (though great) and throws budget out the window.

-Havent heard the Mach 5 so no opinion there.

Assuming they were going on the same scale, where would they rate up against name brands like RF, MTX, Pio, Audiobahn, etc?

i would go with dcon in the end then

with this amp, co designed by zed, its 95 percent effecient with only a 60 amp draw, best amps they ever made easily and really small 2 be hidden, also look at the distortion, very clean sound, the a7 its older brother is my fav amp ever. and its direct from cadence

I should also point out the obvious.

The Mobile Monitor subs that you originally linked aren't terrible. I just thought you were sold on the MB Quart DSC1500.1 and thought the amp would be better suited to a more "impressive" pair of subwoofers...

compared to other brands suggested, the Polks may be a bit pricier, but Polk does make some great SQ products. All items suggested are also very good products, and the OP should feel comfortable running any of those that have been suggested. As a whole, the "interenet" brands are now better than the mainstream brands these days
