anyone used theyre boxes? thinking about getting one. my four 8" subs i ordered, i told them to intercept it and send them back cuz i know ill end up wanting more. so i figured by the time i get the money im going to get a brutus (forget what model) its like 1200w rms @ 1ohm (maybe 2) and gonna get a type R. the tcab im going to have built with aero ports. not bad for my next upgrade (from 2 kicker comps off of a kx400.1)

oh. well.. scammer? hes a scammer? i went to the tcab website. he quoted me 320 shipped for a flaired box for 4 eights. but since im not doing that setup im hoping a single 12 type r dual 2 should do me justice

have someone reputable on here build you a box. it will be just as good, if not better, cause you might not even get the box you pay for from mark.

if the person is in your area no more than $200. heck i told someone that lives in my town i would build him a slot ported box for cost of wood and materials for + like $75. He is young and hey i figured i would help him out. no carpet btw.

ok well, im in florida. i just need a single 12" box built for one type r 12. not for a while tho. first im buying the amp. the brutus. then from there i might find something id like better than the type r. but maybe not.. then ill need a box. do you do aero port boxes as well?

its not as hard as you might think. even if it is as hard as you might think what you learn from the experience will go a long way in the future .

very true... well ok i guess ill build my own then. gimme something to do. i wanna do 2 aero ports. so should i make a standard sealed box that the type r recommends, then cut holes for the aeros? and it will be in the trunk of a 1997 monte carlo. which way should i face the ports?

no now that you decided to build your own its time to start searching and reading in this forum and then when your done do some more reading and more searching. this will give you the basic knowledge of what your trying to do. like the difference between ported and sealed for instance.

I agree w/ the making your own. you'll use only a fraction of that $320.

so i hear. rougly 20-40 dollars for wood, correct? i have all tools needed to build the box. just need a website to calculate tuning.
