Well, as I'm going for the W7 my soon to be system will be as follows(more or less):

Head: Pioneer 9600(Might change for a 8600)

Front speakers: Focal K2P

Front amp: Kicker KX850.4

Sub: JL W7

Subamp: Kicker KX1200.1

Cables'n stuff: Stinger

So what ya say?????????????????????????? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Sounds sweet!

I had 2-10" W7's off of a 500/1 each in my 98 Stang coupe in 1 cube a piece and those things SLAMMED and sounded oh-so-good! Little pricey but the W7 is one of those "elite" type subs (huge SPL and still have mind blowing sound quality.)

If it were cheaper I think A LOT more people would be running them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

that is quite nice. i personally would go with the 8600 over the 9600 though.

x2 the 8600 is a lot nicer IMO. Better x-over and eq, I had the old 840 which was an earlier version of the 9600 and after a while I really began to hate that radio. Dual faces thing wears thin really quick.

actually the 8600 and 9600 have the exact same x-overs and features. the reason i got an 8600 over a 9600 was because the 9600 had a lot of problems with that dual face breaking.

Well when I had he 8400 the x-over wasn't all that great and the eq ******. Of course you're talking about 2-3 years ago so I'm sure some changes were made. I've been running Alpine HU's ever since then. My friend sells the 860mp and 8600 at his shop and I have played with them. Very nice HU's IMO, I wouldn't hesitate to run one in my car if I had to.

Go for it...but I would Recomend some Kicker L7's pound more then one W7! lol Especially with that beautiful kicker amp!

He did say that SQ was important to him and although the L7's might get louder if properly installed the SQ on them will not compare to the W7 if properly installed.

Doesn't the 8600 have one DSP pr. output whilst the 9600 has one for all three? Not all sure but I think I heard this somewhere. And yeah, the flap-face is wearing real thin:)

The 850.4 isn't to much with frendly gaining and running one channel to each speaker with the filters in the HU set correctly

Giving subs more power really wakes them up. The MRP-500 is pretty low power. You would really notice more authority in your bass.

I’m sure they will be a good budget setup. I think they will lack some midbass but door treatment is super important so definitely be sure to do...
