opinions on subs/port orientation

How big is your amp that your using? Are you running two amps? One for front stage as well? Have you considered mounting your amps under your seats and just running your sub speaker wires to the back?
Again, i have an AB 4480.1 its relatively small, but cant fit under a seat. I can barely get my hand under there to retrieve my cell phone when i drop it down there. front stage amp is still undecided. but will also need a convenient mounting spot. Hence why the box seems to work flawlessly, except for the vibration issue

You could always make two panels one on each side im sure there is a way to secure them down maybe take off the existing plastic panels and bolt them to some existing holes and then you can mount the amps and run the wires inside the made panels so it will look neat or even make a beauty panel to go on top so you would only see the top of the amps and flush mount a fan on the back side by the back seat so ppl wont see them

Black is wood, red is amps

well, i suppose thats an AWESOME way to do it. not sure if i have time to tinker as much as this custom install needs.

tip for mounting subs on the box, have the subs going hard, place your head on the box and see if you want your amps subjected to that same migrane.

If you want to keep room for groceries, you only have space for single 12. Your current dual p1 enclosure is around the proper space for a single SA 12.

Understandable, the next best thing is under the rear seat since it would require shorter wires and you said its not enough room you could always buy some shims and place them evenly under each bolt so it would raise the rear seat an inch or 2 wont be much of a change and would give you enough room for the amp
