Anyways, this is the setup I'm looking at, pretty much gonna be buying it in this order.
-Pioneer 880prs
-PG RSD65cs Comps w/150 rms amp (unknown yet)
-15" Icon + Sundown 1000d combo
--Sub will be in 4ft^3 box tuned to 30hz (will be building it)
I will also be deadening the front doors, and more depending on rattling and whatnot.
I'm also considering going active, but im not sure how much more it would cost (really don't want to spend more). If I went active, i would probably increase the budget for the fronts to $150. I will also be running the speakers in their stock locations (03 ford escape) so im going to want speakers that work well off-axis.
I guess this setup is considered SQL, but i know theirs alot of controversy with that term, so im gonna say i want this setup to get (relatively) loud when i want it to but still sound good the majority of the time when im listening to it at normal levels. I mostly listen to alt/punk rock, and occasionally rap. Hell, every once in while i'll listen to jazz/classical. I pretty much listen to everything but country, but the most important thing is that this setup sounds good with rock.
This setup look good? Will their be a big difference between the rsds/active?
