Opinions on Phoenix Gold Amps?

I'm looking to buy this amp to power 2 alpine type r's.

Has anyone ever had a phoenix gold amp?

The older amps were real good, the titaniums were nice and I believe the octanes were decent as well....the rest...meh.

Do you think the quality is still there? there offering a ton of rms (1200) a great name for a great price ($259) too good to be true?

RDS Amps are just as good as the other stuff, Stay away from the China made Octaine stuff, Ryval PG made by Rodin is fine too.

The new stuff is made by AAMP and is pretty top end gear.

I think the only not-good amp they made was the Octane R. And even that wasn't HORRIBLE. It just wasn't all that good.

MP, MPS, RSD, Ryval, Titanium, Zenon, ZX, etc. Were all good amps.

where can the latest line of PG amps be found? i saw reviews of them dated almost a year ago i believe. they must be out already...

They will not be sold online you will have to go to a shop to buy them, AAmp and stinger will not allow internet sales on the new line.

dude, if ur looking to run 1200 rms, Id go with the AQ1200d, solid amps for a good price... $249 shipped new from AQ

I'm looking to run 1000-1200 rms to two alpine type r's. Looking for an amp under $300. What's my best bet?
