To be 100%. If the looting didn't happen the situation wouldn't have received as much attention. Police is this country are trained in a career where there taught that if they are harmed on the job. It will be by a black man. Police are racist, scum. Maybe micheal brown did do some shady ****. I don't think that diminishes the point of the protest. Which is equality and justice. The protest aren't only about micheal brown. That **** been building up for a long time in furguson. People in that community have ABSOLUTELY NO reason to trust the police. I think the lot ting is at least making the country talk more about the systematic racism that occurs in the United States, the militization of police forces. Which should be unacceptable to normal people. Why do small town cops need millions of dollers in military gear? St louis looting is helping force the public to acknowledge these questions.

timeline of events:

-mike brown robs store and assaults store owner.

-Officer was following ambulance after previous call, gets another call about robbery and turns around.

-officer engages mike brown in a Terry Stop.

-?????????????

-mike brown is dead

Witnesses say officers face was swollen and x-ray's show he had a orbital fracture in the floor of the left eye socket. Nobody knows what happened other than mike brown is killed by gunfire and the officer had a serious facial injury.

There have been serious police misconduct in recent times that should have gotten the same, if not more, media attention than this.

this is true, but police in this country are so racist, are laws are racist, the whole aspect of social life in the united states revolves around what race you are. So who cares if there's worse cases of police brutality as long as Micheal brown gets more people talking about the systematic racism, more people wanting to help make changes. Stuff needs to change, and fast. I don't care if it a dead rat that gets us as a nation talking about how messed up we are, and how we gave created a society where it's much much easier for a white man to succeed compared to anyone else. I want white privilige to end, I want police to arrest less black people and put them in a criminal system which potentially ruins lives.

Laws regarding crack cocaine/ powder cocaine are extremely racist. Marijuana laws were created with racist intent. Black people are arrested for weed Six times more than whites even though whites do more and better drugs. The laws relating to section 8 housing, welfare, ebt, and other assistance programs are written in a manner where it keeps the people who it helps living in poverty.

Drug laws are extremely racist. Please do some research, your own research and you will discover this. Getting caught with one gram of crack Is the same as getting caught with 100 grams of pouder. In some states one gram of crack equals 500 grams of powder cocaine. Where is crack mostly at? Black neighborhoods. Why are blacks getting years in jail for a few grams of crack when a white man can get caught with 100 grams of powder and get less of a charge. That racist laws

not sure if you've seen the autopsy report, but he was not shot in the back like the "witnesses" claim to have seen. The independent autopsy shows that what witnesses were claiming and what actually happened do not line up.

No idea why this guy doesn't have a dash cam. every cop should have a dashcam. even with just the audio of a dashcam could clear a lot of this misinformation up. Is the officer at fault, sure. Is mike brown at fault, sure. Cops don't just shoot people for fun. I was really hoping that they would release the name and it turn up to be a black officer. would have been epic.

It's proven that in today's society researchers can go into a hospital birthing center and decide over 95% of those children's future based on what class they were born into, what race they are, what religion they are, where their born, etc. In my eyes our country has little to do with hard work. Your quality of life is mostly decided for you by the time you are born. The reason this is true is the way are society is set up. We are a white ruled heirarchy. Our society caters to the white man and society is set up for the white man to recieve much much much more for work than a black man would have received putting in the same work.

I personally want white privilige to end. The first step to that in acknowledging the problems.

if you believe that you are perpetuating that notion. Sure some people are born into money, but lots of people are not and work hard to get where they are. saying, well I wont succeed cause I was born poor is a cop out, and a poor one at that.

Also im guessing you don't know this since you are all into the "O poor me" line of thought, but my black friend, that grew up in the same neighborhood, parents made same amounts of money as mine, same grades, same everything, had his college completely paid for while I had to pay for mine in its entirety so.... wheres that white privilege? There are so many rules that try to get young blacks to succeed, but they always go with that, "the white man is keeping me down" line of thoughts.

Lol. I hate coke and crack. They both some weak *** drugs that don't get ya high unless you banging them. Not about that life anymore lol. No I am mad at the white ruled heirarchy and white privilege. Than white people belive they are the greatest thing ever, we are the end all be all, we are gods. This isn't true. If the roles were reversed and whites were in a situation where we were subjected to 300 years of slavery, and 150+ years of horrible oppression whites would be in the exact same situation many blacks are in.

Lol. I'm sorry you had it so hard. What a struggle lol. Of course there's rules to every exception. I'm speaking in general. Look at the numbers of whites who have succeeded vs blacks. Look at the number of whites in school vs blacks. I grew up on the south side on old Simpson in a mixed neighborhood. I saw many blacks succeed and make it out. But I saw more who got stuck in a nasty cycle of poverty and crime. There were many more black kids than whites were I grew up. There were still more whites who were doing well than blacks. And the white people were usually straight hood muthafuc*as. I feel the only reason they, and myself included made it out is because we were white. I seen how my black friends were treated compared to me. Usually worse, when I wasn't a good person back in the day.

Just please do some research man. I won't be able to convince you are society is ruled by the white man and caters to the white man. Look at some numbers, look at some studies. Don't just take your own small minded outlook on life and think you have it figured out. I dont. I'm only speaking on things that are PROVEN to be true

There's absolutely no way you believe that. If you do everything you say to me, try to argue to me, point you try to prove is flawed from the beginning. There's literally thousands of studies, research, and PROOF that's not true. Why say that?
