opinions on components

"Good" componets are nice, but good coaxiles can be better than "cheap" components. The silk or silk/cottan tweeters seam to be better over harsh mettal diaphrams. I've heard JL audio, and CDT components and they are great. I suppose OZ Audio makes great component speackers, and rare to (few know about them). If your mounting depth is shallow, then maybe you can consider Focal.

Try to find some reviews.......

If you have a shallow mounting depth, try to find some componenets with neodymium magnets... :thumbsup

yeah, we'd be able to help you more easily if u told us some type of budget u have to work with. As for me, and what i've heard...diamond audio hex's sound great. My pick however would be cdt cl-61's or HD carbon fiber edition. http://www.thezeb.com at the $150 price...i'd say not a lot else can beat the cdt cl-61a's in their price range. peace

I'm just going to list some of my favorites, and you can do your research..

Rememboer, speackers are nothing without proper tuning, install, and a good home free of resenents and unacceptable noise.

Yes, a good home is important.......

Good luck with your ricer, lol. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wave.gif.002382ce7d7c19757ab945cc69819de1.gif just joking, decent car you have....

yeah sorry i forgot about price. probable about $150-200 for the pair. How would i buy or make an anclosure for componants if i was going to put them on a door (im kinda new to the whole component idea)?

If you dont mind "ebaying" it.....look for Dynaudio. I bought both my sets, for $200 & $250. And as far as I'm concerned, there is nothing better than DYNAUDIO for sound quality. if thats not your cup of tea, you can pick up Diamond Audio Hex series and M6 series on ebay pretty cheap too. Good luck.

_____2000 Dodge Neon

Ice Man cold air intake; Borla cat back exhaust; Borla stainless steal headers; Vibrant strut tower bar; Suspension Techniques rear sway bar kit; Eibach lowering springs (with alignment kit); KYB struts; EXEL 17" rims; and clear rear center brake light; clear front side markers; bright blue gauge inserts; alluminum accent dash pieces; PIAA extreme white bulbs; PIAA plasma blue side-marker bulbs; tint....

Uhm.... how do you put headers on a 4cyl?

Rainbow Reference 6.5's should be a good choice for your components. They're about as expensive as any other high-end components and will probably sound better.

Or, you could get creative and make your own... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smash.gif.499e08a4a35ffaf54f4c8194fb8fe8ed.gif

I would get some TangBand 6.5's with some CDT tweets and the crossover of your choice.

the rainbow ref's? about as expensive. try 7500 bones. it makes quite a dent in the back pocket.

It doesn't make much dent in the back pocket, because odds are if you can afford them, then you wouldn't notice the $6000+ missing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.
