Except one that you can buy new for $40... Those usually aren't too good

Id go check it out,see what kind of condition it is in..For $40 bucks for that hu, with 3 sets of rcas, and low/high pass filters, it would be worth the money, especially not having a working HU..Hell you might get it for $30?Who knows?

Is Clarion a very respected brand?

Clarion was one of the best brands around for a while but since Hitachi bought them they haven't really been anything special. The DXZ385USB was one of the low end models from 2008, it's probably worth it at $40 if it all works.

I turned down the offer. I am planning on spending the money to buy a good head unit that will last. I have decided to buy and Alpine CDE-121. You guys think its a good one?
