First my system consist of a RF T8002 and two 10" alpine type-r's. I'm going to try running the amp briddged @ 1 ohm because all of the birth sheets I see for this amp average around 1300 watts @ 1 ohm. If it gets too hot then I will bridge it at 4ohms and call it a day.

what I have for wiring is 17' of 1/0 gauge wire and two 30' spools of 4 gauge.

should I do the big 3 in the 1/0 gauge and get rid of the stock wiring then use the 4 gauge for the run to the amp?

Or should I use the 4 gauge for the big 3 and add to the stock wiring then use the 1/0 for the run to the amp?

I would do it this way if I had to choose. When you do the big 3 you don't take out the factory wiring. If you decide to run a stronger amp you will have to upgrade the 4 gauge running to the amp to 1/0 gauge so if at all possible you should do your big 3 in 1/0 gauge and also run 1/0 gauge wire to the amp to save the hassle of paying for and running new wire in the future. If you dont plan on upgrading power this way will be fine.
