Opinions on a situation please

the third party shipper here has the sub, so they said if ups hasn't picked it up by july 5th, that i am entitled to pick it up if wanted.

My plan is just to reimburse him what he payed, i was gonna do an even 500, but then i got threatened etc., and to tell the truth it pretty much pi$$ed me off.

I mainly posted here to se if i was looking at this from a skewed angle etc. or what, I also don't want anyone here thinking i am a scammer, i am trying to create good feedback for me here so that i can buy/sell/trade.

If the sub was damaged then refund him his money for it, why would he be entitled to more than what he paid? If he cant find the same speaker for the same price that sounds like a personal problem that has nothing to do with that sell.

 
Sounds like he poked a hole in the sub knowing you had insurance and thought he was gonna get it all. Fvck this dude hes a ****. Give him his money back after he ships the sub back thats it then tell him to F-off!

This is ludicrous. He is only entitled to what he paid. The cost of a brnd new W7 has nothing to do with the deal you 2 struck. You guys agreed to $X for your woofer. Woofer gets damaged. Woofer is returned to you and the $X dollars is returned to him, not $X+Y

 
he should be happy your being honest and giving him his money back...i dont see why he's being an ignorant prick and wanting more than what he paid for it... it shouldnt be your problem if he can't find another dub7 for that price.... tell him he gets X amount and **** off

after reading his pm's, i would do business with you WAAAY before doing business with him. refund him his money to the exact penny, no more.

i'm looking forward to the thread he creates bad-mouthing you...it should be an interesting read filled plenty of curse words and e-thug threats.

 
If this is indeed the whole story then you did nothing wrong. Since the sub is not in his possession though I think you are obligated to refund his money immediately instead of waiting for the insurance money. Even though he's being irrational it's not right for him not to have either the money or the sub. Just make sure you save all conversations with him and proof of the refund or it may come back to haunt you.

 
One more thing... if you buy something from... oh let's say Best Buy and return to the store saying that you want your money back because of damage, they will either let you trade it for something of the same value, or issue you a full refund of the purchase price. Under no cirumstances will any place let you keep the broken item and issue you a full refund.
