I would run an AQ 2200 per BTL they are only $389 each then you will be powering BTL propperly and for sure get it redonkulusly loud.

money is not really an option but he knows nothing of car audio and i really dont feel like buying 800 dollar subs(xxx's) because he is still going to have something that to most people means nothing,(FI or RE compared to a JL w7) if you understand what i mean? personally i was just curious about the BTL's and thats the main reason that i want to run them. also he does not really care about SQ he just wants to "POUND" lol. but for my sake i want it to sound pretty good since i am the one doing the install and to other ppl who do know more about car audio than him i dont want to look like a dumbass doing a SPL setup in a new ESV.. catch my drift??? lol

id still go with a sub meant to take that as rms, not under.

go with the BL, not the BTL, for under 2k its just not worth using a BTL, and considering the new versions are even more spl oriented and made to handle even more power 1.5k just isnt enough for a BTL IMO.

different series of Fi and you'll be fine, otherwise look at other brands.
