I just got back the four L7 12's I purchased off here for a friend a few months back and now I need to do a box design. I am trying to run this pig in street c for dbdrag and I traded my two Mojo quad 1 15's for them and I know I can burp just a hare under 150 with them and no testing and wrong port tuning etc (pulled the boxes out of my crx and threw them in the rsx, big peak freq difference)

so I was going to try and do two separate boxes, sub firing forward and one firing up, or sub firing to the side and one firing up. so that would be two subs firing up and one firing left and one firing right (polarity flipped on one to keep them in phase). I know crx's can get loud doing multi directional sub firing, even though it goes against logic of cancellation and phase.

i dont have 25" deep to mount the four subs firing up and a port for the back, it just cant fit. So i THINK i can get 25" deep to put all 4 subs firing up, but i would have to do a port firing forward //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif...

anyone have ideas? I have two Orion 2500d's to feed them.

Whats the Dimensions you have to work with HeightxWidth and Depth?

man its not good, i've got 36-38 wide, 17-18 tall, and 25 wide and thats pushing it , may have to round off the front edge just to get my back seats up... i'd love to beat my personal best of a 157.1 on the TL usac style with the mojo's but thats a tall order, CRX ftw...

I think Sologlocrx has like 6 10's.4 on top and 2 on the driver side I believe

He would have to room for 10s but with 12s his depth of the box from front to back is killing him

yep, if i could find solo x 10's or L7 10's id do some straight up trading I think...

its burp material...

i was also thinking of doing six 12's sealed just to bang with but meh

as far as peaking, me and a buddy each were @ 53hz in our RSX's...

my crx boxes are tuned to like 58 and i still peaked @ 53hz, i would like roughly 50sq in of port as well, 5-6 cubes is what i was told for burp boxes with four L7's.

I had 4 L7s in my CRX and it liked tiny box 25x25x14 with 4 4" aero ports 12" long

i may try some boxes that do like i said, probably 20-21" deep, 17 tall and 16 wide each... two aero's per box for two 12's...

as far as purchasing subs, i do not have the $ for two Solo X 10's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I wish man! I just made a trade for four CVR 12's as well, so who knows, i've got plenty of subs to work with.

ok guys im nearing my build. Here is what I am planning on doing.

Two separate boxes, 17tall x 17wide x 20deep

In each box I'll have one sub firing forward and one sub firing up, but with the boxes being the same height as width I can try the subs firing to the side and forward, just something to play with. Ports to the rear. Its not quite a crx box but its similar. Tuning will be in the low-mid 40's for more of an SPL orientation. One 2500d per two L7 12's.

Any other ideas?

or I can throw a slew of Comp VR 12's in there and go sealed... as 'little' as 4 or as many as potentiall 8 lol
