opinions for new set-up

I was into car audio years ago. I had 2 alumapro bp-series 12s hooked up a kicker amp. the stuff hit hard. its been years and need some new opinions to refresh my memory.

anyway I dont want to spend as much as I did then but want some opinions for subs. tight and loud.

1-2 JL 13w3

2-3 JL 12w3

3 JL 10w3

or 1 12 hcca.

I would like to have the less expensive jl setup to have money for speakers, ect.

I was wondering if these setups would produce tight loud bass for a daily driver. the JL subwoofers are most appealing if they can get the job done and still have some money for speakers and an amp for them.

Unless you are getting a great deal from somewhere, JL subs are generally overpriced. Read the sub section here to get some more ideas about subs. Look up some brands like fi, ssa, or sundown and as you do, you will come across more subs that are in a similar class. Once you find do research about some of these other subs, you may have more specific questions to ask and you will be able to get better answers.

What he said. What's your goal, budget, type of car, power, stuff like rhat? ( unless I missed it in the OP)

thanks guys. I got a few set-ups I figured out. I like the IA 187 subs because they are inexpensive and do not need a lot of power. but will do a bigger sub. I really only want to push 1000 watts max really but can work with that.

IA deathrow 1 15"

Sundwon SA 2 12" or 2 10"

IA 187 2 15" or 2-3 12"

can 2 187 12's or 15s really hit or should I go with the other 2 configs. I am after tight loud bass that carries.

I really only want to spend maybe 1,000 on subs, amp and box.

Those 187s can get nasty. 2 of those sa10s would sound pretty good Too on 500rms each and in a good box

if I can get 2 good subwoofers for a little over 200 bucks why not. those sa-10's sounded like the hit hard from others people opinions. seem like I need to spend more to get this kind of quality but I guess I am mistaken.
