Opinions- 2002 Escalade Stock Bose, need thump

Ok, I have a 2002 Caddy Escalade with the Factory Bose system which sounds nice and has a little bump for the average person but I'm wanting to add lots of bass. My plan is for a JL Audio 1000/1 to a 13W7 in a ported box. Do you think it will sound OK while using the factory Bose Deck? Also, since the JL amp can accept high level as well as low level inputs should I just run the +/- leads from the factory sub into the inputs on the 1000/1? How would you guys go about hooking that up for the best quality and ease of installation.

id put some nice comps up front. coaxil's in the rear and a 1000/4ch amp before i even thought about bump's....

I'd say ditch the JL idea and grab you a 15" SI Mag w/ a 3.5 cu ft. @ 32 hz box and a Memphis M1000d. Then use the millions saved from ditching JL and change out the mid's/highs to some higher end stuff like the RE XXX 6.5"s and amp them with a Memphis M5004. Call it a day.

OK, we're getting a little off topic here wouldn't you say. I already have a JL 1000/1 so thats the amp I am using, I may in the future upgrade the mid/highs, right now I just really want to know how I should hook up the sub and if it will sound OK with the stock deck and how it is hooked up.

just get 1-2 sub's in a nice ported box..
