Currently with 2x Kicker 12" CompVT 2-Ohm in a 2.36^3 sealed enclosure w/polyfill behind the seat in a regular cab Ford F-150 being powered off a Hifonics Txi1008D Mono amp(1000.1@1ohm).

I'm thinking of increasing the mounting depth of the enclosure or building a new custom box to possibly fit two Alpine SWR-1242D 12".

Doing this simply because the CVT's don't get loud enough without the gains, bass eq, and bass boost turned to a significant amount and I've tried everything(including polyfilling the enclosure) and I'm blame the CVT's inability to get loud without overclipping on the fact that its a shallow-mount subwoofer.

I could go for a single 12" option with maybe a 12" Kicker CVX and maybe vent the enclosure.

Thanks for the tremendous amount of responses...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Type rs are good.......and get loud....Cvxs would work fine and they get loud also....Type rs like being ported.....Cvxs are fine in both

And i dont see why they cvts are loud enough for you.....i have heard a pair in a truck and they sound decent

Im actually considering single subwoofer options in a vented truck enclosure and I'm thinking either a Kicker 12" CVX with its 6.3" mounting depth and 750watts rms but with 1000watts going to it against a Alpine Type-X 12" with 1000watts going to it, but the Type-X calls for a good 8+" of mounting depth which is hard to comeby in a behind-the-seat enclosure.

Or I could try for two CVX's and slightly underpower the, a tad with 500watts a piece and in a sealed enclosure.
