hey dumbass, a piece of paper doesn't void my right to HUMAN FREEDOMS regardless of what any stupid *** court has to say about the issue, i answer to a higher power, just because some fat old men decided to make unfair and unjust laws doesn't mean im going to sit here and blindly obey them like you do.
If thats the case, why do we even have a legal system? Lets just do away with all that......

he's a racist?
he seems ok to me so far...

haha... while the majority of my political views would be classified by most as "conservative," i would love for such a thing to occur. Not specifically to cheney or bush, but to any politician... lets see how they like it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
yes he is, but he is ok some of the time. besides, all white people are racist, but this is not the thread for that discussion.

actually...
yes it does...

you can legally waive basic rights... like when you join the military, for example...

Im tired of every fcking thing i enjoy being slowly taken away from me. I cant smoke pot, i cant smoke cigs in public, i cant run a fckin red light without getting a ticket in the mail, i cant own the type of dog i want, i have to have a front license plate, i cant tie my dog up outside, etc. etc. etc.
Big Brother?
the pot thing has been in place for a while. But I see what you are saying. Uhhh the red light thing........ the dog this is cuz of stupid people.

Let me bring a saying from the military

"if there is a rule for it, that means a dumbass somewhere did it, and messed it up for everyone" it applies to pretty much everything.

devillion: yes i know it happens. people dont get hired because they have certain issues the employer doesnt like. maybe the employer is a racist, maybe the employer hates disabled people, etc. what i was trying to get at, is that there is some hypocricy. its ok to not hire the guy who smokes pot at home, but its not okay to not hire someone just because they dont fit in, if you will. yes it does happen, im just saying you'll hear an out cry on one, and a "shut up druggie" on the other.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/word.gif.64b12e39f936af3b4fff38a1c0bd0244.gif and im not saying I agree with the way it happens and that it does happen. Just saying it happens, and there really isnt much. And the other thing im about to say i dont necessarily agree with either, is, the reason its easy to outcry for a mom not being hired cuz she is a mom, is because being a mom is not illegal.

Uh, why the hell do you think i said HUMAN freedoms? I'm not talking about MAN MADE FREEDOMS, IE the constitution
the constitution was good for its day, but not anymore, we need a new set of laws and rights. and on top of that, the constitution has already been buchered by the powers that be, so what now?
what now is, this thread. where we will bicker, til we are tired, and get nothing accomplished.

I dont know the government and its regulations are ridiculous. They are wanting to put Breathalyzers in cars so you have to blow a .000 to start the car. So its not blowing under the LEGAL limit to drive, its blowing anything. If you have alcohol you cant drive YOUR car. Its ridiculous. Also they are wanting to ban smoking cigarettes in cars. Seriously wtf. I cant smoke MY cigarettes, in MY car, while driving on a road MY tax dollars paid for, in a city i am PAYING to live in. We are basically paying for our freedom to be taken away in my opinion.
Very good points that have no good angle for your side of this drug testing argument. What about the right for an employer to make sure he has a safe productive drug free workforce? Do you want to start taking away his rights?

Its give and take man, can't always be a win win

hung over in some cases you wills till blow high enough to be illegal. In which case most employers have a drunk on the job rule/law/regulation and would fire you. This happens most in the military, but a lot in warehouses also, where you are operating machinery.
i can understand that, and i agree that whether its alchohol, weed, crack, meth, whatever, you do NOT need to be doing any of it on the job (alchohol likes to cause hang overs so you gotta be careful not to let it **** up the next day as well lol).

like i said earlier, im all for finding a way to test a persons current state of mind, if you will. but random drug testing for things that might have happened weeks ago is just plain ****ed up.

im really trying to keep up with all these posts lol. the thread keeps growing so quick haha

Im actually agreeing with this racist piece of shit.

youre still a bitch. But you are right. I dont think people get it.
yes we signed it, but that doesnt change the fact that we are also arguing about the validity of these tests.

there has to be a better way to do testing on the job, and the current way isnt even close to the right answer.

That's not the government. That's MADD and their lobbyists. If that law is passed, you can blame the mothers of a bunch of dead kids for it.

Not too many of you are arguing the validity of the tests, but the ability of a private corporation to test you at all.

Is NORML directing resources/money to research that? If not, they should run that campaign concurrent with legalization!

You don't have a right to employment though. Just totally different ballgame. Lets break out some pineapples to compare next.
I realize it had little to do with this thread. It just irritates me. I think about what the next 20 years will have for this country, and i see Communist Russia all over again. We will have cameras all over the roads/sidewalks/ hell they might even put them in your house. And it will all be in the name of safety. Saddens me really. Thats when ill have to move out into the country with my guns and wait for the govt to come get me.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

If thats the case, why do we even have a legal system? Lets just do away with all that......
we have a legal system to keep order. unfortunately the laws that were created to keep order are no longer viable for todays society, risks, problems, etc. the const. and the BOR were both GOOD concepts...FOR THAT TIME. at this point, we either need a "new" const. or name it something else, and re-vamp the entire governmental system; but thats wayy too much work for this generation apparently, so i dont see that happening.

i see a law, or i hear about one, i think about it...for example...heres my thought process on a controversial law:

- prohibition of cannabis sativa/indica/ruderalis

how does this law affect me.... i'm not allowed to smoke a plant that i love to smoke.

why is this law in place.... to apparently control what people put in their bodies. alcohol is legal and taxed, why can't cannabis be.

should i obey this law.... no. there is no understandable reason to not smoke cannabis

Until something better comes along, it isthe right answer for the company.

in this society, you go nowhere without money. this society is built around money, and working. if i'm forced to either die or live off the streets and in what people -give- me, or strive to make money by working, i think theres only one comfortable option. and on top of that, employers should have NO say in what i put in my body... thats like employers saying all gay guys cant stick penises up their butts, when in reality you see that EOE shit on applications...equal opportunity employer... means you cant base shit off what people do in their own home. whether you be black, gay, another minority...they cant base it off that, so how can they judge someone based on substances in their body?
Ill say it to you too, and i dotn necessarily agree, but ****ing another man in the *** is not illegal. beign a certain race is not illegal (anymore). You also need to read up on EOE. Or ask iceteebone.

wanting to, and did are not right now. We'll have a new thread when it happens.

So now you have the right to drive while intoxicated too?
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Now these arguments are different and I can completely agree. These are limitations your government wants to impose on your own space. Totaslly different issue than an employer looking after his interest and implementing policy he feels is necessary.
This is true. But the arguement is different, like you said. He is really reaching, because he has no real arguement.

You don't have a right to employment though. Just totally different ballgame. Lets break out some pineapples to compare next.

yah it is moving quick as shit. So I think you and me are pretty much argued out with eachother, we have an understanding.

No, it was already resolved for those that can read.
I quoted that post once.
