Look ****ing retard. If you sign on to work at a company that states you will be randomly drug tested, and that you are not to engage in the consumption of illicit drugs, don't ***** when they test you. you essentially signed away your freedom to do so by becoming employed. If you are given advance warning, in your employment contract, then you have no reason to say that a random drug test is unfair.

A law that allows companies to run their houses the way they want. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

You guys scream about it being YOUR business to do what you want at home. Well the workplace is the companies HOME. Why shouldn't they be able to run it how they want? My mom didn't want a pothead in her house and I was kindly told to move out. Seemed simple enough to me then and it seems simple enough to me now.

Pretty much black and white to me, there is no gray area in this. I dont get why people dont understand.

lets try it another way. There are federal regulations on firearms, but each state has its own set of laws/guidelines/regulations. I can conceal carry a gun in Florida, but cant in MD, should I complain about it? No I chose to move here and therefor deal with the different set of rules.

But is it fair that we have to sign away our rights to get a job? Does that not make you question the society we live in? I mean im not a druggie. Ive never smoked or done any drugs and passed a drug test at best buy. But I feel its a huge invasion of privacy and should be illegal. Basing your opinion and summing up their work ethic, their knowledge of the work field, etc on piss. Its ridiculous. Wait in 10yrs when marijuana is legal

If you want to get money it is. Or you can start your own business, then you can smoke weed all day. Shit, you can even smoke it with your customers. Or better yet, just sell weed.

Im tired of every fcking thing i enjoy being slowly taken away from me. I cant smoke pot, i cant smoke cigs in public, i cant run a fckin red light without getting a ticket in the mail, i cant own the type of dog i want, i have to have a front license plate, i cant tie my dog up outside, etc. etc. etc.

quit, or dont work where they drug test. besides, im pretty sure you signed to it, you should have declined employment there when you read that they do drug tests

devillion: yes i know it happens. people dont get hired because they have certain issues the employer doesnt like. maybe the employer is a racist, maybe the employer hates disabled people, etc. what i was trying to get at, is that there is some hypocricy. its ok to not hire the guy who smokes pot at home, but its not okay to not hire someone just because they dont fit in, if you will. yes it does happen, im just saying you'll hear an out cry on one, and a "shut up druggie" on the other.
