Because one is an orange and your example are apples. I'll agree with all of the oranges and none of the apples, thank you very much. You have yet to compare the topic to another orange.

Its about a companies rights within reason. If drug use is to be protected then we better add druggies to the hate crime laws.

It all boils down to until there is a better way to test for drug use that actually impacts work performance/safety we are stuck with the status quo...I don't see it changing.

so your admitting that for the topic of the thread, yes the company should be allowed to do what they please.

but for the topic i brought up, they should not be be allowed to do what they please?

duece212: to you its within reason...to the racist company owner its not within reason. and it might be vice versa as well. whose to say whats within reason? whens the last time you had any say on a law going into effect? if i see drug testing as invasion of privacy, and i dont consider it within reason, who am i suppose to go to that will actually give a shit what i have to say? a shit load of people vote for 1 guy to represent them in HOPES that what they believe will be represented, when that 1 guy puts in his vote.

NORML is doing its job in trying to represent us, but i cant tell NORML what to put on their priority list as being #1. all i can do is give cash donations participate in rally's and hope for the best.
