One set of RCAs a problem?

If i have a pioneer HU with one set of RCAs then dont the RCAs send out a full range signal? Cant I split that one set into however many sets I need? Say I need 6 channels, cant I hook up a splitter two the set and split the signal into 3 pairs and then use the amplifiers crossovers to get the right signal to my speakers?

theoretically you could, dont really know how it would sound, but i would get a new HU with 3 pre outs, and what setup are you running that you need 6 sets of RCA's

Its 3 sets...6 individual. (2 for front, 2 for rear, 2 for sub). I have a dvd receiver with 3 sets of RCAs (f,r,sub) and a pioneer HU that I love but it only has one set of RCAs. Im going to run the pioneer into the aux in of the dvd receiver. How will the sound quality be by hooking up the Pioneer through the aux in?

Im using a 4 channel MTX to drive two 6.5' JLAudio in the rear and two 5 1/4" JBLs with tweeters in the front. Im also using a Rockford Fosgate 2 channel amp to run two Kenwood 12" subs (500 watts max/ 4 ohms). How would you wire this? The RF amp pushes 460 watts with all channels running at full power at 2 ohms.

so your talking about using the dvd reciever as like a spliter for the RCA's, if thats the case i would just split the RCA cables with Y spliters.
