Ok, so I have a Kenwood KDC-215S Head unit and sony speakers, im not sure what kind, they came with the car.( the last owner upgraded them)

So my speakers are fine and good at first. Now out of no where only my front right one is getting any power and making any sound. I can adjust the face plate some times and that will make some of the speakers push air, but they stop when i take my hand off.

Is this a wiring problem? Or is the little plug thing that connect the face plate to the cd player its self messed up?

take the player out of your dash and check the wiring, some of it may be messed up. Or it could be a crappy install job, and its all coming loose. Either way, that deck has go to come out for you to check shiz.

what about the eraser idea someone said before....dont listent to me on this cuz I dont exactly know how to do this.. but you take the the face off use an eraser and clean both the face and deck contacts....

Ok, i pulled it out and check all the wiring, its all good.

I'm almost positive its the little plug from the face plate to the little thing that recieves the plug in the head unit thats messed up. Because when I slightly adjust what I can of the faceplate some times sound will kick in on the speakers, but then I'll hit a bump or somthing and I am back to power in the one speaker.

What sort of eraser would I need to clean it?

A #2 pencil... any earaser, you just need to clean the contacts. Even better move....? use those little handy wipes you get at resturants. They contain alcohal, which is a great cleaning solvent.

did it, and now i have continuious sound from the front right and rear left, whoo hoo, still missing 2 speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif , i think i just need a new hu
