I was looking at a alternator from them and i was wondering what people's opinion's on them were. They have like a 3 year warranty. If you have boughten from them or have any other good places to get a H.O. alternator form please speak up.

i got one, it seems to work fine (little whine in the cold weather, but i think its because they powdercoated the belt wheel and its slipping... i think im gonna sand that down for better traction - goes away after its warmed up for a few minutes)

REQ what did you think of their service. Did you go to like advance auto parts and get an ampereage test on it to see if it puts out what is says it does.

Excessive Ampereage - Heard good things about him and he replied to my emails quick and answered all my questions. But i want something longer than a 3 month warranty. Was going to be the place i bought from till i heard about Motor Cisty.

Mean Green - Did not ever reply to one of the 6 emails i sent them.

Mr. Alternator - Never heard anything on them

Alterstart - Heard bad things about them

Irraggi - Heard good things about him but also heard some bad things.

The race is between Excessive Amperage and motor city.

mean-green always answered my e-mails. they do have slow shipping. i never heard anything bad about excessiveamperage. they were also one of the cheapest when i was pricing around. i should have my mean-green alt installed this week i could let you know how it does.

its actually IN my car right now, i cant really just go and drive into the store and have them bech it. its one of those deals where you bring in the alt, and hook it to a machiene, and it runs at 2k rpm and checks voltage\amperage. if you can find a place that will bench it for like $10, ill do it.

but they were\are good guys. id recommend them. they respond fast, and they were great to deal with. good buisness they have going IMO.

yes they did respond to my emails fast.

I was going to go through Excessive amperage as he had good prices and responded quick. It is just that i want more than a 3 month warranty.
