old toyota amp wire

okay so i took the power line to the fuseholder to the B+ on the amp. ran the ground to the seatbelt bolt on the floor. and ran the rem to the rem line on the wiring harness in the HU. and the amp has no power. gonna check fuse in amp but i don't think that's the problem.... and the power line, the loop at the end of the battery, is kinda big. any ideas?

check amp fuses, and inline fuses. Make sure the bolt its grounded too goes to the frame. Also do this, take a peice of wire and jump it from the b+ to the rem on your amp, and if it comes on, the problem is the rem.

no the amp won't come on. it is my friends toyota and he had to leave. so i won't be able to check anything till tomorrow. but he doesn't even have a box yet. we just tried to wire it all today. i went to hook it up to a sub and see if it was getting juice and the sub wasn't moving so i looked at the amp and the power led wasn't on. all i really know. there might be a bad conncetion somewhere though. at the crimple. just got crappy general connectors from checkers and had to tweak um all to get um to fit. maybe that is the problem?

bump. okay i jumped the power and rem and the light came on. so the problem is the rem. but we just took that out and the connections are all secure. any suggestions? should i just replace the wire and hope it works. the line might have been damaged or pinched?
