OLD SKOOL! Clarion DPX 1000.2 Best budget amp ever?

I went to my moms to clean out her house since shes moving today and I found 2 of my clarion dpx 1000.2 amps, old, like probly 7 years or so, im pretty sure they worked just fine when i pulld them out.

Id like to test them out on my setup but dont know exactly how. I cant find a single spec of info on it on the net.

I rmeember it played 1000rms, but aparently thats @ 2 ohm bridged? On the top of the amp it says 2/1 chanel, and on the side where the speaker hookedups are it has a 2 ohm symbol over the bridged connection +/- and 1 ohm symbol if you run 2 drivers off of it I guess. Ive never seen hookedup like this....

Since my cadence amp blew (txa 1000d, 1000@ 1ohm mono) I was hoping I could maybe put this in its place til my new one arrived, I need it to run 2 DVC 4 ohm subs.

Yes just run it 2 ohm stereo with a mono signal.

Nice amp. Make sure you don't bang it around. those tripath chips like to come loose.

Well is there anyo hook this amp up to 2 DVC 4 ohm woofers? I dont get the wiring part with this amp since its 2 chanels. Bridged @ 2 ohm or seperate @ 1 ohm

San Jose-Based Tripath Technology Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

San Jose, Calif. -- Tripath Technology, a developer of power amplification technology to the digital media, consumer electronics and communications markets, said that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company said that it will ask the court to allow it to continue operations. Tripath revealed in late December that it needed to either find a buyer or secure additional financing to prevent the holders of its debentures to potentially force it into an involuntary bankruptcy proceeding. The company also said that it did not have sufficient cash or other resources to even complete its financial statements for fiscal 2006, and had been able to operate since the end of August only by collecting advance payments from distributors, reducing its payroll expenses and delaying making payments to those it owed.

Run both amps, wire each sub down to 2 ohms on each amp bridged. 1kw to each driver.
