Amp Fried? Worked yesterday! How to test?

Well Ive finished my install in the infiniti and its 4 15's AQ sdc 2.5's running off 2 Cadence txa 1000d's, 500ish rms a piece in a huge box.

Well when I got it all hooked up I noticed it wasnt really all that loud compared to my last setup (2 15's 1 amp in 10 cubes @ 38hz)

So i started isolating problems and my one amp doesnt even work!!

Or atleast I dont think, I need to know how to check it.

Basically I just pulled the rca's out of one amp expecting the music to be cut in volume in half, but to my surprise it went completely away! No bass , the amp has 12V power, remote 12v+ and turninig on mo problem and a good ground with the other amp combined.....

The txa's have input/output rca connections on the amp....

Is there anyway to test or fix this quickly? Or is something pooched completely

It wouldn't be cut in "half" but you would definitely notice a difference. Hows your wiring look? Does the green or red light on the top of the amp under the Cadence logo light up?

Any lights come on?

If so, throw a dmm on the speaker terminals and see what it shows

you may have blown the rca outs on your HU. Did u unplug/plug the rca's in while it was turned on?

How do you have your RCA's set up since you got two amps? Also is it accidentally in slave? Just double check all your settings and wires.

Ya they sound fried, if you want I can take them off your hands for spare parts ? $25 shipped sounds good?

Right now I simply have a set of rcas from the HU's sub output going to both amps with a Y connector right at the end. The one amp works perfect. I can plug just the rca's into that amp and the system works (well atleast 2 of the subs), then I take those rcas out and put it in the oher amp (so the one amp now has no rca signal) and I get ZERO bass, and it has proper power/remote/ground as they share the same sources and everything is secure.

Ill check the slave mode switch but Im sure I already did

I just need a way to give the dead amp an rca signal I guess.......

u cant just get a signal if the rcas are blown.

it really sounds like its no good.

u can either get it fixed, pry gonna be around 100 or invest in another amp. I would sell both amps, and get 1 single amp to push all four subs. Makes it alot easier and less chances of problems odwn the road.
