Old School Subwoofer Thread!

lets see some more subs guys.i should have a rfr2215 , has a 12 spoke basket now and has direct leads. has the 4 inch coils but now is rated for 1200-1500 at 2 ohms. not sure if u guys like old school subs that have some what a modern update to them. the motor is orginal that was cleaned up a tad etc etc.

thats the size of the original surround and those were some BEASTY subs in there day. My buddy had 2 15's each on a big (don't remember model) soundstream amp. I could hear him pull into the AV-02 parking lot (old rave club in tampa) while i was out on the floor. HIS BASS COULD BE HEARD OVER THE CLUB SYSTEM!!! LOL. Don't let the surround fool you , they will get down!!

he would pull up to my apartment and glasses of beer would do the whole jurrasic park thing. LOL

I had 10 of those new in box a few years ago, Sold them all, Also had a bunch of old school Patriot carbon fiber cones subs too.

Had one in my old '79 z28. Ran it off the rear channels of a sony xm-4045 and sony es 6x9's in the deck. I thought that **** was so loud back then. LOL

the surround is on the smaller side but people seam to forget the stock form 1000 rms at 2 ohms and they do get down.

Friend of mines box, We used to bump these 3 15" Comps back in the day's of high school in his extedo cab Nissan off a Autotek 7100bts and man it was freak crazy loud for what it was!
