running RF p2d4 at 2ohms question

Just dropped my sub to 2 ohms hooked up to a Kenwood amp that pushes 300 at 4 ohms . Should be pushing around 600 correct? I turned back the input sensitivity(v) and bassboost (db) about a third of the way from all the way up. On a few songs it starts to get that hot electronic smell. Should I be worryed about frying it. Was however impressed with how much harder it hit .

I have had it for 2 years and ran it at 4 ohms off that amp.

Maybe it needs to break in more?

I don't have a ton of knowledge in car audio and input would be awesome.

A you cannot run that sub at 2ohm

B wiring to 2ohm doesnt automatically double power

C set the gain right before you blow you amp or sub

D model of amp help run out problems

E use high quality music lots of downloads are bad before you

amp them

Amp model is kac-8105d

Class D 300w RMS 1000w peak

I have toned back the gain on the amp but lost some of the WOW I was getting from it.

Like how loud it was may have to upgrade in the future

Quality of music is good if it wasn't I wouldn't have it.
