Check it out....

I bought this tube in 1987 when I was 17 years old. It's had some damage to the finish but the integrity is still intact.

Loaded with 8" kickers, the subs face away from each other...one in each end and a port in the middle.

Each sub has about 1.75 cubes of airspace by my calculations, and it rocks.

Bazooka use to and still makes one like that...I thought about going that route in my vette if I could find a clean old school Bazooka double tube

Yeah I could build something similar...that one is loaded with a pair of 8" subs plus a 250w amp....one reason so pricey...I put in an offer of $200 that they will most likely turn down...but I think it would be worth it for the corvette......

Judging by the port length, it looks like its tuned to like 50hz. I bet it does rock, but it doesn't drop.

The Bazooka tube was/is a different design. Its port runs the length of the tube, not two opposing drivers firing at the port in the center.

It hits some low notes for 8's. I listen to mostly rock/metal/classic rock

Im just guessing at tuning, but the port is very short. It doesn't have a lot of port area though, so who knows. Punch the numbers into an enclosure design program, that should tell you the tuning. Buddy of mine had several 10" version stacked in the back hatch of a Dodge Stealth RT twin turbo which he got for his 16th BD, nice to be rich this was in the 80's lol.
