Old School Rockford Fosgate Amp Question

Hey guys, have an old dinosaur (Rockford Fosgate - Punch 200ix) over here. Want to do a single 8" SA8 v-2 in a foxbody mustang (hatchback). Would like to do it ported in the 30-35hz range.

Just wondering what it could push to this woofer. I've pasted below some information I found....is it accurate and what could it push to a single woofer? Thanks.

11.9V - 100 W RMS x 2, 400 x 1 at 4 ohm, 200 W RMS x 2 at 2 ohm

14.4V - 150 W RMS x 2, 500 x 1 at 4 ohm, 240 W RMS x 2 at 2 ohm

THD S/N >110 dBA>>>

While they are "underrated" they do not do all that much more then rated. I would expect to see around that 400-500 rms range on average. When you hook it up just set everything correctly and you will be just fine.

Wow!!! That is pretty awesome! I missed the 400-500 "RMS" comment!!!! Are these amps commonly referred to as underrated because they were rated at 12volts (typically) instead of around 14v? Seems like they would want to rate it for would it could put out from a marketing perspective..... Thanks again.

Is this amp stable down at 1ohm?

not stable to 1 ohm. you need a single 4 ohm sub to run off the amp.

I'm confused a bit--------please explain the following:

"150 watts RMS x 2 channels"---ok this makes sense.

"500 x 1 channel at 4 ohms"---Is that 500watts rms or peak?????

"240 watts x 2 channels at 2 ohm---So close to 500 watts x 2 channels at 2 ohms.....is this 500watts rms? If so that must make the previous statement "500 x 1 channel at 4 ohms" mean "peak" and not rms????

Sorry but confused. Thanks again.
