Alright guys I have an amp stuck in protect which really ***** cause now it just prolonged my system and my truck being out together lol but anyways... It's a 4 channel and I've taken out all of the wires connected to it and started with a fresh new install... Okay so first I run the power wire to the amp.. (Positive the 12v connection), I run the REM wire to the head unit and twist it around each other tight and all. I then have it grounded to a bolt on a seat... I thought it was the ground so then I tried putting the ground to the negative... Still in protect!!! I changed the two 30 amp fuses on it.. Still in protect.. Changed the power wire and fuse on the power wire and still in protect... Gains are set all the way down and I've tried plugging in the Eva's and all of that but that shouldn't matter... I also have new remote wire I put in.. ANY IDEAS???

I'm gonna try it out in a friends car in a few days to see if it runs... If not I guess it's toast and ill throw up for sale as is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Other note: My truck is now making cranking noises when I drive which is great because there is no way I'm going to be able to pay for repairs or can go without transportation for a long time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Broke *** high schooler problems lol

Quick testing procedure....Take that amp out, and go to your battery under the hood.Take some wire such as 12ga,or 10ga,or 8ga,and make two long enough to reach the battery poss(+),and neg(-) post.wrap/connect the ground to neg(-)post on the battery, and poss(+),then take a jumper wire, can be 12ga/14ga speaker wire, and hook it up to the remote terminal and touch the poss terminal..If that amp goes directly into protect,it needs repair.. if it stays green/powered up, you have an issue with your install wiring/redo/reinstall wiring
