Anyone remember these?
Handy for quick parking lot repairs. Saved my butt once after sitting in my toolbox for ten years. Power out, and generator wouldn't start. Solder joint had failed.
Opened it up, fired right up without even needing butane. Still have it. Still works.

First time I heard these was in my BIL's single cab flat face F150. They were so loud I thought he had 12s. They are (yes, he still has them) the 8" old metal mesh screen with binding posts (not push clip). MB Quarts on the doors and IIRC Autotek amps all around. I would ask him to go to drive thrus where friends worked and all were awed by the punch for the size of them. I liked them SAS' since then.
4 x 6.5" BP4 in a 2001 F150 SuperCrew.
It was a temporary situation. I blew 1 of my Lanzar 15's. I had to build a new enclosure for the Polk shallow mount 15's.

I had Autotek 7100BTS and 7300BTS amps in the Grand Marquis and the Ranger.
No pics of the MGM, but here is the only Autotek pic in the Ranger. They were stolen while the truck was parked in our 1st house driveway.

I have a 7600BTS that needs to be repaired.

The 1st time I heard the Audiobahn AMD60Q was 4 of them in BR enclosure in the back of a Ford Explorer. Dude was making money out SPLing other systems. The bass that was coming from those drivers were ridiculous. When I got the Ranger, I wanted to try them in a BP4 enclosure. They didn't disappoint. When folks were sitting in my Ranger, they were trying to figure out where all the bass was coming from. They thought the enclosure was an arm rest.

AAAAhh... I forgot to add
  • Autotek
  • Audiobahn
  • Lanzar
  • Planet Audio
  • G & S Audio
  • Gravity Audio
  • Earthquake
  • Sonic Green or was it Green Audio? Mid 80's stuff.
  • Crunch
  • Urban
  • Treo Audio
  • Xtant. These were a pain to tune. Had to use the Sip chips.

I still have 1 of the Lanzar RMP15D's in the Polk Audio box and a Lanzar VW15D.
