Old School Amp Buyers... beware!

Ive had really odd dealings with egay too. I got a couple of Autotek 15's in - and one was slightly bent and I just mentioned it to the seller and he gave me my money back and told me to keep the subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif ... the bend didnt even effect the subs any!

So I lightsocketed them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I sell Old School amps on Ebay all the time. I would never sell anything like that to anyone what the OP posted.

I take all my oldschool amps apart and check for crap like that just to make sure everything is on the up and up. And I also test them for a week before selling them I run them in my car.

All my Old School amps were either bought by me and stored away or bought from a reputable source.

That seller should refund you instantly, Sellers like the one that sold that punch 150 make it very hard for the sellers that are 100% truthful.

Every amp I sell that is used/oldschool I snap photo's of the internals for the potential buyer. Its not much but its more of a piece of mind that I can offer the buyer.

Hope you get your money back or something worked out.

I go by the phrase, If its to good to be true 90% of the time it is.

I got my money back, and now I am going to hold up my end of the bargain and send the amp back to the seller. I will say this though, I purchased about 15 amps this year, and three out of three ebay old school amps had something wrong with them. Just think about the business an honest ebay seller is losing because I will no longer purchase an old school amp off of ebay!

For what it is worth, ALL sellers had 99 to 100% positive feedback, and the eGay dispute resolution process really blows if the words "As Is" are mentioned ANYWHERE in the ad, even if the seller guarantees non-DOA!

The first time I received a bad amp, I unlinked my bank account from paypal and kept it cc only. The second time, I opted to get the amp repaired because I really, really wanted it. This last time I said f*ck it because I am NOT going through this again! The seller is lucky he responded to me because he may have found me at his doorstep only to have a non-working amp shoved up his ***!
