I was talking to someone the other day about subwoofers and they were saying something about a company that bought Kicker's old round solobaric design, and still produce the exact same woofer? Is this true? I searched, but only find info on new solobaric square woofers....

I remember those solobarics being really good back in the mid 90's ?!!

The CSS series are the Solobarics. CSC series are the older Kicker Comps.

Now, they didn't buy the design or anything. Credence was the buildhouse for the Solo's and Comps. When Kicker stopped production on them, Credence continued to produce them and sell them under their own name. I've heard rumors that Kicker was pressing lawsuits for using "their" design. I've also seen Polecat (who works for Kicker) make mention that the Credence versions are lower quality than what they produced for Kicker. Truths to these? I dunno.....but, I've read multiple reviews of the Credence from very knowledgeable people who claim performance is exactly the same from both brands.
