Hey everybody

I have a 400x4 Punch ***** Ana (old grille looking ones)

I use it power my two Alpine Type E Subs (which later on im getting P1's or P2's)

yeah yeah i know, im using a 4 channel amp for 2 subs, yadayadayada, but i dont have 400 dollers for a new 400x2 amp.

Anyways my question is, whats the best way to hook these 2 subs up so they can have the most power going to them?

Heres the manual to get a look at the amp, if you dont know what im talking about.

http://www.rockford-fosgate.com/rftech/library/1995/3_Amplifiers/MAN0993A_Punch_400x4_MAN.pdf

I know it lists 2 different ways, but i also heard it would be great if you hook 1 sub to another, and then bridge the amp.

if using two chs bridged you'll need single 4 ohm or dual 2ohm subs...that amp bridged is only stable at 4 ohms ...another option could be run each of the 4 chs to a a dual 2 sub if running a pair of subs it wil;l be the same output....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I didnt get like, anything you said //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif lol youd have to put it in lamens terms

its a 4ohm svc then.

so 2 drivers means you can wire it down to 2ohms or 8 ohms. considering the amp is only stable bridged @ 4 ohms, youd be better off wiring it at 8ohms.
