i know ive seen both. lived in the country all my life and quite honestly id prefer to stay here lol the d is a nasty area, my dad owned a car wash at 7 mile and braile and there was some fucked up sh1t that went on down there most of the time. i once saw a pregnant hooker drinkin a 40 oz standing on the corner...carwash was in the ghetto for sure. hated goin there as a kid

Haha 7 an Braile is like 5 miles from my crib. It's the carwash right after that BP if your heading west on 7mile. I don't mind the westside at all, and downtown is beautiful. It's just the eastside I don't like. It's just completely dirty and nasty. But downtown district is definitely beautiful. And pregnant woman drinking is a regular thing. Saw a couple girls I went to high school with pregnant, and drinking. They definitely had a smart baby coming...

yeah seeing a white guy in that area was rareee...i havent been down there in years so i dont even remember where but it was on a corner and it was a do it yourself quarter carwash. extreme autowash i believe the sign said. and yes the east side a disgusting mess. downtown near joe louis is pretty nice ill agree with you there. i just couldnt tolerate the traffic in the city

For as big of a city as Detroit is, our traffic is NOTHING compared to New York, LA or San Fran, Miami, etc. More than likely because everyone is too poor to drive.

Down here its basically the same town to town. There's a "good half" of town and a "bad half" I got pulled over in the ghetto one night for swerving to miss a trashcan in the road (true story). Plus cops round here give you ***** for anything they can get out of you. Had me pulled over, searched, and profiled me before they even knew what I was up to.

all cops do that. its irritating. cop an attitude and ask for their name and badge number. it pisses them off.
