Leasing sucks ***, I wouldnt suggest it if you like to drive a lot. I leased once and learned my lesson quick. Piled up 22000 in one year on a 36000 mile term. Had to have my dad take it over due to him not driving much. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Twas a nice truck too.

Just save up a couple g's and buy a nice new car with warranty. Could get in good payment, help credit if needed and can do what you want to it after it is paid off. Leasing cars you cant drill no holes and are very picky about what you do to them not to mention when you turn them in they try and burn you every way they can.

lslugz, how long have you NOT had a car payment?!?! There is the occasional expense but ANY car will need tires. My Xterra is the first vehicle I've made payments on since the early 90's. I used to put $100/month into a savings account for just the thing you had happen. If something REALLY bad happened, I had money to either repair or a partial payment w/the car. I did that w/2 volvo's and a BMW.

Thats it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christ man, what are you an old lady?

I have had road trips over 1000 miles. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

In that case I might lease. You can get away from tint. Still to me a waste of money though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I dont drive much....even when I worked full time (job was 4 miles round trip...my next job is going to be around 8 miles, round trip)

I bought my Maxima 2 years ago and it had 122k miles or so.

I currently have 130k miles on her //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I like older cars, I had the Porsche for a long time aand put about 9k on t before I had any real probs... if I could figure out the timing belt it would be cheaper to put a water pump on that than it would a newer car.

As long as you have mechanical knowledge, older cars will pwn newer ones on cost per mile. Lower insurance, cheaper parts ie junkyard. i just don't have the garage to do much of my own work, so I hadda get something that didn't need too much, Ie my ranger.

my friend has a ranger, but the whole clutch needs to be replaced. he drove that thing so hard though, whenever he accelerated he always floored it as much as it would go and liked to peel out at every stoplight, and he always complains about how he runs out of gas so fast, i wonder why //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
