ok with no fuse?

I have a single 12 and I have a 125A fuse inline, I didnt even turn my stereo on for about a week, and the fuse popped.Glad I had one, just buy one, its like 10 bucks.

well its a new car and im gonna make sure everything is hooked right. just that i have all my audio stuff in cept the fuse and holder because onlinecarstereo doesnt have it in stock. so it will only be without a fuse for a few days till one comes in but i really want to hear my audio system because this is my first one and i spent 1300 on it so far.

Well it comes down to this...

You CAN run your stereo without the fuse. It will still work. BUT, you can also seriously screw up your car and possibly even blow it up *The battery that is*. I know I certainly have blown my share of fuses hooking up my stereo before. I'm glad as hell that I had them or else I would've been totally screwed. Just wait a few days man. It'll get there and you'll be listening to your bass soon enough I promise.

I don't know anyone who installs a system and doesn't "make sure everything is hooked right"...yet stuff somehow gets hooked up wrong. And just imagine how stupid you'd feel explaining how you burned up your $1300 (plus whatever you spent on the car) because you didn't want to wait for a fuse.

I DONT RECOMEND IT, but i know a guy who runs 2 RF power stage I's without a fuse, he blew up his first amp but has been running on the second with no problems for months now. I keep telling him "man spend $10 and get a fuse so you dont have to spend another $300 on an amp!" but hes pretty hard headed.

i didn't run a fuse in my beretta, worked great for about 6-7 monthes...but one day driving down the road, the neg on the amp came a little loose and touched the pos. welded together, melted the insulation off the wire, then caught on fire. nothing was really hurt, chard the hood, but i could never get the smell of burnt wire out of the car.
