Ok..who has exp. with SSA icons..

im right on the edge of buying a pair of 12"s to replace my sx 15"..can anyone with exp with them tell me how they perform..i cant find many vids of them and havent seen them in erson so im kinda goin on hear say....are they similar to sx's? would 1800 watts be enough for 2? Will it outperform my single 15" SX..in the same type enclosure with 600 more watts total?(for both) how is the sq..im sure it will be better than my SX.. thanks to everyone thats given me input thusfar..but i just need a lil push to go through with it..i hope they pound

Nope...they're a much more linear driver...

SSA Icons are awesome built drivers and sound very nice. They will be in my daily driver soon. Going from SX"s to icons you should be very very happy

so thats a good thing...more accurate..i hoping to sound better by switchin the subs and getting louder by getting more cone area and dropping down to 1 ohm for more power..if i can do both i would be very happy and i think these would do it

You've got good timing. I just made a thread about possibly getting 4 of these 15's but like you I've never heard them in person. So I was also looking for a little input from people too.

yea i have a feeling that these are kinda sleepers...i mean for the price you cant get much better... Have you got that solara on the tl yet..im curious how it meters..once the taxes come back they are mine

nope, TL numbers aren't a big concern. The camry is a trunk car with the non-folding back seat. Not going to be too impressive on a mic in that car. The blazer on the other hand should be breaking a 150db. It's deff louder then my truck for sure.
