OK, OK so I need opinions on which comp between Rainbow and Massive

So the CK6's I have on order, 2 sets, are on backorder until mid/late July. I don't get back until mid August anyway, but I was offered replacement sets of Rainbow CSX 265's. I have never heard Rainbow cause I honestly never had the money for a good set of them years ago.

So if you were given the choice of either the New stage IV CK6's coming out or the Rainbow CSX 265's what would you take? Don't go looking into price as they would already be paid for either way.

They will be powered by a Massive Audio NX5 pushing 120rms x 4.

The massive will be louder when it comes to bass response but I find rainbows to be very clear across the range and some of there sets had there "kick" woofer instead of the normal mid. In which case I'd say rainbow hands down. Check and see if they have the ng set or the kick set

Again these are 2 different speakers, the massive are geared towards spl and the rainbow are sq. You need to compare apples to apples

tthaworth unless u have experience with both in "properly done cars" u can't say that. Because as I mentioned earlier the rainbow kick version will put out all the bass if not more bass than the massives. And the massives can be set up for a smooth response curve as well. It's amazing what sound deadener, correct aiming, time alignment and eq ing can do.

I personally would pick the rainbows cause they will sound better with less work under most conditions. No they will not have the low end the massive will have unless they are done properly but it's a good choice of equipment for him to start fabricating around.

I can say that and it is true, Rainbow speakers have always been made for sq setups whearas massive have and always been for spl. These speakers are not comparable . The rainbows have a nice smooth sound, and the massive speakers are loud and have harsh tweets. I dont care how you set these up that is the facts.

It's not a fact when the judgement of "SQ" is purely subjective. Massive Audio speakers are considered by many to have very good sound quality. The tweeters from the CK components are well regarded. The RK series is meant for high power and high output. Don't judge their entire line based on that series.

I have the 265 Deluxes, and I love them.

So I decided to go with the Rainbows. I upgraded the fronts to the SAX 265.20's and dropped to the SLX 265 deluxe in the back.
