component set-up question...

ok, so i've decided to buy a set of 6.5" components for my silverado.

Can somebody help me figure out what ohm speakers i should be looking for...

i have a pair of 10" svc 4-ohm kicker subs wired in parallel, running off a zx750.1 mono amp. so i've got a 2-ohm load there. i have a spare amp that i will be running my comps off, and that is a kicker ix402 2-channel amp.

Also, is there a special type of amp distribution block that i will need, or are they all pretty much the same?

And finally, are Boston Acoustic good speakers for hard rock and metal music?

Thanks

Depends on wich boston , the lower line sound good , but don;t produce much midbass. The sr series sound good with everything and produce very good midbass. That amp only produces 40w rms x2 @ 4 ohm load. You really need a bigger amp for your comps to power them better.
