Ok newbie question between Kenwood-JVC

Trying to find a nice unit for my 2008 F150. I see the Kenwood DDX712 has subwoofer preamp outputs the other unit I was looking at the JVC KW-AVX710 does not. Does this mean if I buy the JVC which is alot cheaper I cannot run a subwoofer? Is this why the Kenwood is much more expensive or is it other options it has over the JVC. I have always had good luck with other Jvc electronics but have been steered toward the Kenwood. Advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

RL

Ok I know someone has the answer to this simple question with all the stereo techs around here. Do I want to pay $600 for the Kenwood or $400 for the JVC with no subwoofer preamp outputs. Any other noticable differences to these two HU's? One of you members in the know look at the specs and see what ya think. first off they both have a sub preout, the kenwood has 3 preouts f/r/sub which is nice if you decide to do a system, the jvc has one sub/rear selectable preout

Also the kenwood can do nav, which is garmin made and very nice, so if nav might be an option down the road go kenwood

other than those there are pretty identical spec wise, except the kenwood also has an extra set of inputs

Thanks Fiercetimbo17. Very much appreciated. The reason I thought there was no

preamp out put on the JVC if you click on the link and look at the specs it has a column listed 5th from the top and it says subwoofer preamp output then NO . So you are saying that is wrong. Again thanks for the input!!

Look around for prices of the Kenwood, I'm sure you can get one a couple bucks cheaper through another online retailer. The Kenwood has better features, but if you want better sound tuning, you may go with the JVC, unless you want to get an external EQ for the Kenwood. Kenwood has 3 selectable bands to tune, and the JVC has 7.
