ok i have 2 15 in l7's in a 8 cubic ft box tuned to 35 hz and its on a audiobahn 2300hct and i was wondering if 3 12 in cvx's would be louder if i had them in a custom ported box to their specs and tuned to 35 hz and on the same amp.. its in an 83 blazer

I do not believe that 3 12" make up near as much cone area as 2 15". It might sound a lot better and almost as loud. but definitly not louder.

if your looking for pure loudness then keep what you have. the cvx's would still be loud though. they would also sound a lot better
