I messed with the speaker wiring a little on my setup. The amp is a AP10001D:

1000W Monoblock Power AmplifierRemote Bass Control Included1 Ohm load stableBass Boost 0-12dBOverheat protectionVariable subsonic filterDistortions:

The subs are CVR10s (2) dvc 4 ohm 400-800 watts. If I hook them up at 1 ohm, the amp goes into protection mode, at 2 ohms it does fine, but that's only 700 watts so 350 to each and thus not enough. Thoughts?

Well I'm not sure what the actual impedance is haha, but I ran positive to positive (same with negatives) on each sub, what load would that be?
All voice coils in parallel would get you to a final 1 ohm load.

Well I did that at first and the amp went into protection mode, I meant the positives and negatives wired together meaning both voice coils on each seperate sub

You take the positive to the positive and negative to the negative on the sub and out. Do the same with the other sub. Now take the 2 positives you have and put them together into the amp. Then take the 2 negatives you have, put them together and into the amp. This is going to give you a final 1 ohm load at the amplifier. Your amp shouldn't be going into protect mode unless you have something else as an issue.....

nvm.... Didn't see Skylines diagram. Lol!

Yea I know how to wire them to drop it to 1 ohm, my question is why is the amp going into protection mode at 1 ohm when it's 1 ohm stable at 1000 watts
