Ohm Readings

I gotta PSW912 single alphasonik sub. wired up at 1ohm.

after having problems with the system, i decided to check the sub with a multimeter to see if its blown.

my reading was 1.5ohms. is this normal if its wired up at 1ohm?

the amp is seeing a 2 ohm load, round that up to 2 ohm....

what u mean?

is it a blown sub?, it used 2 work perfectly till the bass started getting cut off, now its dead for ever.

coz its a single sub, i can only wire it parallel - 1 ohm or series to 4ohm.

what i mean is... the amp is seeing a 2 ohm load.. 5% tolerance.. so like math round it to the next tenth... makes 2 ohm's...( 1.5 rounded up is 2 ohm)

is the sub dual or single voice coil??

its a dual.

so what could be the possible factors why its showing a 2 omh(1.5ohm) load when its wired 2 a 1ohm?

what dose each voice coil read?? with out it being wire @ 1 ohm??

its reading 3.8ohms on one and 2.1 ohms on the other.

when i first got it (from sonic electronix) it used 2 show diffrent readings like it is now, but when it was wired up, they kinda evened out.

something aint right.. that 3.8 is tooo high... 2.1 is ok... even 2.5.... but 3.8???

tru! i remember when i 1st got it, it was kinda like 1.5ohm y 2.5ohm.

so what could have caused this?
