Sparks mean its working!
It'd be kinda pointless. The whole point of shallow-mount subs is to save space. Not something you can really do if you go ported. Now, I can get a good 2 cubes ported behind the seat of my std. cab s10 if I do external ports. But that doesn't allow for much port area (about 25 sq. in. max if i want to keep the port stacks below the window line.).imo the pioneer/premier makes the best ones. i have 2 12'' in my reg cab s10 and they sound really good for what they are. they even sound good with my box and its only 0.5^3 per chamber sealed. i would recommend them to any one.
has anyone ever ran a ported enclosure on a shallow mount sub?just wondering how it would sound?
