Umm... I like German cars just fine, except that everything for them costs an arm and a leg... parts, scheduled maintenance, labor... not quite ideal for your average kid. And since it's high mileage, there's a good chance Cesar will have to dump some serious money into that thing if he does get it. I mean, if the wheels are curbed and the bumper is cracked, chances are the person who had it drove it like he was in F&F... and now is about the time that car will start falling apart.
For a ***** Am, parts are cheap and abundant, labor will be cheaper, maintenance will be cheaper. Unless the past 2 drivers were complete idiots (which I doubt because they were 40+ and this was their weekend car) the ****** should be just fine past 100k miles. I could see it needing replacement if it was owned by a kid who raced it all the time...
