Official "ca.com" help me buy a used car thread! BMW vs ***** Am!!!?!?

So people stop *****ing at me that I am a negative bastard who is just trying to ruin peoples fun I am going to tell you why I wouldn't get either car.

1. BMW is most likely going to need some small to major maintenance in the near future. BMW parts and service are ****ING EXPENSIVE.

2. The ***** am is not a practical car, especially for an 18 year old. I hope you enjoy getting ***** on your insurance premium and at the pump.

3. The ***** am is a ghey looking car anyway, In My Opinion.

So I wouldn't get either of them. For 10,k I would be looking at a something cheap and reliable. Something to get high 20's to 30's on the MPG and that will last you 5+ years till you get another car...

how did i miss this? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

get the TA, you wont regret it. More of an eye catcher, fun to drive, power when u want it, killer gas milage ( i clocked 27.7mpg with the car fully loaded down) . And you have its rarety also their value hasnt changed much over the last couple years.

how much? and if u have an Qs let me know

ummm, the ***** am is more then capable of getting really high 20's and into the 30's if not abused and properly maintained. The ls1 fbody is well known for getting rather good mpg, on my 400+horse ws6 i was getting 18-23 mpg and were talking mixed mostly city some highway.... It was also one of the cheaper cars i have insurred for myself. My jeep grand cherokee of the same year was quite a bit more expensive and i had an extra rider for equipment on the TA.... The ls1 fbody is also well known for being super reliable...

I didnt look at the year, i just saw 4th gen and thought t-56 lol

those cars get good milage (as do the vettes), heck the early t-56s (if that is a t-56 car) had a .5 overdrive!! which = low rpm = low fuel burn for distance traversed. the C4 vettes had the 4+2 gearbox and the LT1 they got 20+ too
