Which for a 12'' Sound Quality sub

Rock & quick punchy bass is best in Sealed boxes sometimes rap can be done right on a sealed box but it's kind of more dependent on the subwoofer itself and the bracing/size of the enclosure. If you listen to Hiphop, Rap and that sort of music ported is almost ALWAYS the way to go also you can tune higher with a smaller box when you go vented and achieve similar sound comparible to a sealed enclosure but in the end sealed is just always more punchy and productive on higher/faster notes and ultimately sounds cleaner 90% of the time.
If I were you I would just get the SSA dcon I suppose because you don't seem like you would notice a difference not being an avid audiophile or anything and you will spend less on an amplifier and probably be a little louder. But like I said if you have any thoughts of going with 2 12's get the Daytons and a amplifier that does 1000-1200rms @ 2 ohms possibly a good Kicker ZX1000 as they do more than rated @ 2 ohms with good efficiency and will do about 800w @ 4 ohms.
im looking on just getting 1 12'' sub. my local shop dealer is offering me a stealth box for my volkswagen rabbit for about $200, dunno if thats a good deal. Also what sub and amp would be suggested if i just want a 12'' with music genre of hip/hop, electronic & rock

Stealth boxes are nice but you can get designs on here free with a cut sheet if you know anyone halfway decent at woodworking and do it with 50 bucks. I would get the SSA dcon without a doubt from what you have said and what has been listed even if it wasnt listed I would still get it. and as far as amplifier goes it depends on budget, box and how hard you want to run it, personally I wouldn't give it more than 800rms daily just get a solid amplifier that runs @ 1 ohm. I'd go 36hz @ 2ft^3 with around 14sq inches of port subwoofer upwards port backwards or side firing (this is a hatchback right? if not do both firing backwards.) and run a good 800rms to it. Look into something like AQ, DC, Sundown for high end good sounding amplifiers or something like MB Quart, Kicker DX, Audiopipe etc. for mid-end.

EDIT: on a side note DC, Sundown, AQ don't really make anything less than 1200rms so you might have to settle with something like a Kicker DX1000.1 unless you want power that will never be used and pay a pretty penny for it. Theres more brands out there I'm just much too tired to list them all.

Or you could adjust the gain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Why spend the extra money when you're just going to turn the gain down? I forgot the people on this forum have unlimited money...

So a ssa dcon 12" with a AQ750 in a ported box would be the best bang for my buck in a vw rabbit hatchback?
For what you're looking for I would say so... The DCON is a clean sounding subwoofer that can perform well in sealed or vented enclosures and gets rather loud and the AQ750.1D would be a perfect pair for it and is a quality rated amplifier. For the price that should give you pretty solid performance with some clean sound, go for it.

No mention of DC? and their Level 3's? A level 3 12" can be had for a lot less than a SA-12 or FI X and for about the same price as a SKAR VVX and Obsidian and I prefer the DC over both for SQ and SPL. I only put about 600w to each of my 15" Level 3's with added spiders and they LOVE it, one of these could take 800-1k daily no problem and get really loud, i'd just do a slightly bigger box than recommended off only 800w (if you even see that below 14.4v) The SA will not perform as well off less power and the FI X is pricey for what it's. Never heard an Obsidian but SKAR's don't have the best SQ from what I've heard, then again a lot of subwoofers I've heard I don't believe to have good SQ while most say they do so I guess that point is moot.
If you REALLY want SQ and a little bump in your trunk then just get the Dayton HO's they are really cheap right now Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm 295-466 They are only a single 4 ohm voice coil but can take 800w daily the hard part would be finding an amplifier on the cheap that does 800 rated @ 4 ohms. For $150 I wouldn't get those DB Drives though personally they just aren't that great for the money when compared to the others mentioned in this thread. You could pickup a MB Quart Onyx on the cheap that does 500 @ 4 ohm and 1000 @ 2 ohm so that way if you want a second Dayon HO you could run them both off that amplifier and if you get a third you could do that too just expanding possibilities. Sounds to me like you want some good punchy SQ and a decent level of bass and I think everything you listed is the opposite of that unfortunatly with the exception of the DCON.
For SQ with some bass I'd go: Dayton HO > DCON > Level 3 > SA12 > Obsidian > SKAR > FI X

For SPL with a little bit of SQ I'd go: Level 3 > SA12 > DCON > SKAR > Obsidian > FI X
The Obsidian needs to be higher on that list for a multitude of reasons. First, compared to the Dayton HO the Obsidian plays lower in the same size sealed enclosure:

Obsidian 12" D2 in 1.5 ft^3 = F3 of 45 Hz

Dayton 12" HO in 1.5 ft^3 = F3 of 56 Hz

And the relationship of Le to Re (you must look at both) are the same for both subwoofers which indicates that the Obsidian has at least the same transient response as woofer "speed" is directly correlated to not only static, or resting, inductance but also how linear the inductance is over stroke. As indicated in this Klippel data from the Obsidian 15" D2 you can see that the inductance doesn't sway heavily from one side to another as with most drivers and you can see how it is fairly stable over stroke:

The Obsidian also has a more linear motor than the Dayton HO with an Xmax of 20mm compared to the Dayton's 12.3mm. That's 60% more linear stroke than the Dayton with the ability to play lower in the same size sealed enclosure (ie, a larger bandwidth) while also being the same price (Dayton's prices are shipped where as there is shipping on our site).
